About the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office
The Circuit Court Clerk is charged with more than 800 statutory responsibilities that are either judicial, non-judicial or fiscal. The Clerk's Office is the administrative arm of the Circuit Court. Fiscal responsibilities of the Clerk's Office include the maintenance and investment of trust, equity, and condemnation funds; and the collection of court fines/costs, restitution, recordation taxes and other fees authorized by statute. The Clerk's Office annually generates millions of dollars in revenue for both the state and county.
