Mobile devices can increase productivity, but the risks can be significant. These risks include:
- Mobile devices store significant amounts of personal, private or sensitive information
- Portability makes it more difficult to implement physical controls
- Device's can be lost or stolen
- Information may be intercepted in cyberspace
- Data loss
- Malware risks, as malware can infect mobile devices and used as a platform for malicious activity
Mobile Security
Some tips to keep you and your devices safe include:
- Keep mobile systems and application software patched and up-to-date.
- Download applications only from vendor-authorized sites. Sites offering free games or ring tones may distribute malware.
- Follow your organization's policy about downloading software used for work.
- Don’t risk being exposed to malware by opening unexpected attachments. As with your desktop, only open attachments from trusted sources.
- Do not click links unless they are from trusted sources. Beware of links from unsolicited email or text messages which may introduce malware.
- Report a lost device to your carrier or organization immediately. Some devices allow the data to be erased remotely.
- Wipe all data from the device before disposing of it to prevent others from accessing the data.

- Child Care Services
- Energy Assistance (Fuel, Crisis, or Cooling)
- Food Assistance (SNAP)
- Health Care Coverage
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Applications for Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF are now accepted over the phone at 855-635-4370

- What if I need help with finding a provider?

For information on providers, you may call the Medicaid Member Hotline at 804-786-6145 or visit the Department of Medical Assistance Services website and complete a provider search.
- What happens if my Medicaid is terminated?

You will no longer have Long Term Services and Supports if you don’t have Medicaid insurance. Medicaid pays for your services.
