Planning Commission Public Comment Form

Information regarding upcoming Chesterfield Planning Commission meetings, the public comment form and citizen comments are available on the Planning Commission Meeting Information and Public Comments page.

Citizens are encouraged to use the online comment form to provide comment on public hearings regarding zoning cases. The online form can also be used to comment on unscheduled matters. In addition to the form, comments can also be received by email at [email protected] or by calling 804-748-1125.


Advises the Board of Supervisors on zoning cases, amendments to the zoning and subdivision ordinance and comprehensive planning.

Tommy Owens

Matoaca District

Owens has over 20 years of professional experience in the fields of human resources and information technology. Currently, he works for a major educational hospital focusing on time and attendance systems to ensure employees are paid properly. Owens also serves on several non-profit boards and has been involved with the county EMS system. Additionally, he has volunteered with Little League Baseball and Softball for 35 years and has been a sports official for football, baseball, basketball, softball and wrestling for youth, scholastic and NCAA levels. Owens has completed all course work for credentials as a certified planning commissioner.
