Building Alliances to Prevent & Respond to Domestic Violence

The Chesterfield County Domestic Violence Task Force is a coalition of agencies and concerned citizens dedicated to providing leadership in preventing and responding to domestic violence in our community.

Our Goals

  • To advocate for intervention and prevention activities that will decrease incidents of domestic violence
  • To promote safety and justice for those already affected by domestic violence
  • To educate and train people in our community to promote greater awareness and understanding of domestic violence

The Task Force includes representatives from public and private organizations, as well as individuals from the County. Professional disciplines involved include:

Cell Phone Donations

The Chesterfield Domestic Violence Task Force collects unwanted, old, used smartphones for the following purposes:

  • Given to domestic violence victims to dial 911
  • Recycled phones provide funds to assist domestic violence victims

Collection bins are located in all Chesterfield County Libraries. Also, at the Chesterfield County Government Complex, collection bins are located in the lobbies of the Lane B. Ramsey Administration Building and the Community Development Building.
