Chesterfield County recognizes the knowledge, talent and skills of our community and encourages citizens to contribute their time and talents by volunteering. Volunteering is a way to develop new skills, make professional contacts, socialize, have an impact on your community and make a difference. Volunteers contribute thousands of hours of services annually to Chesterfield County Government. Engaged citizens enhance our community!

Requirements

  • Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older unless otherwise specified.
  • Reference checks are strongly suggested and should be conducted by the supervisor with a minimum of two professional/personal references.
  • Federal criminal background checks are conducted on all volunteers who will be providing services to juveniles.

County Volunteer Opportunities
