COVID-19 Vaccine Information

The Chesterfield Health District (CHD) is a division of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). The CHD is comprised of the counties of Chesterfield and Powhatan and the city of Colonial Heights. VDH distributes COVID-19 vaccines to local health districts, such as CHD, which then administer the vaccine to eligible individuals within the health district. 

Chesterfield Health District Encourages Residents to Use

With the increase of the widespread availability of the COVID-19 vaccine and the goal to vaccinate as many people as possible, the VDH Chesterfield Health District is encouraging residents to use ( to schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine. The VaccineFinder/ website, which has a searchable map-based tool, allows individuals to find appointments for a COVID-19 vaccine near them. 

In addition to, the statewide call center, call 1-877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682), continues to be available for questions about COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccines.

Statewide COVID-19 Call Center

The statewide call center, 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682), can answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. The call center has English- and Spanish-speaking agents, as well as a call-back service in more than 100 other languages. TTY service (dial 7-1-1) is available to assist those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Videoconferencing in American Sign Language is also available at If wait times are long, Virginians can choose to get a call back and avoid having to stay on hold.
