Woods Edge Safety Improvements

Chesterfield County General Roadway Improvement funds are being used to widen Woods Edge Road north of I-95 in order to provide a) left-turn lanes into Southcreek Drive and Walthall Creek Drive and b) a sidewalk connection on the east side of Woods Edge Road between Southcreek Drive and Walthall Creek Drive. The resident survey began in January 2021 and a resident information meeting was held on Aug. 11, 2021. 

Traffic Impacts

Woods Edge Road will remain open to traffic at all times. Some daytime alternating lane closures may be necessary during construction.

Project Timeline

Right-of-way acquisition is complete and utility relocations are ongoing. Construction is anticipated to begin and end in 2023.
