The Diversity Advisory Committee was formed in 1989 as one of the county’s key initiatives to expand and enhance equal employment opportunity in all management practices. The committee serves as an advisory body to the county administrator through the Director of Human Resources on issues related to the Diversity Plan (Including Equal Opportunity Initiatives).
The committee is composed of 12 county employees representing the major divisions of Chesterfield County. The committee’s mission is to provide recommendations to county leadership and create diversity experiences for employees that promote inclusion, acceptance, and understanding.
