Fordham Road Sidewalk
Phased Sidewalk
Chesterfield County is constructing a sidewalk on Fordham Road from Hull Street Road to Jacobs Road Elementary School.
Phase A (Jacobs Road Elementary School to Chatham Grove Lane)
The project involves the first phase of sidewalk construction that will be from the western entrance of Jacobs Road Elementary School to the Chatham Grove Lane.
An informal citizen information meeting was held Feb. 16, 2022.
Traffic Impacts
Fordham Road will remain open at all times during construction with periodic single lane closures as needed. Expect travel delays during construction.
Project Timeline
Preliminary engineering is underway, construction is anticipated to begin summer of 2023.

County Community Connectivity Sidewalk funds are being used to construct the next phase of sidewalk from County Springs Lane to Gregory Drive. This phase was moved up in the phasing based on citizen input at the Citizen Information Meeting held in May 2022.
