- Route 10 (Whitepine to Frith) Widening
Federal Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) funds will be used to widen Route 10 to six lanes between Whitepine Road and Frith Lane. The project will provide an additional eastbound thru lane from Whitepine Road to Courthouse Road and an additional westbound thru lane from Frith Lane to Whitepine Road. In addition, the project includes improvements (turn lanes, crosswalks, and signal modifications) at Courthouse Road and Lucy Corr Boulevard signalized intersections, and sidewalk along the east side of Route 10 (from Frith Lane to Courthouse Road).
Work on Route 10 from Whitepine Road to Frith Lane will continue as contractor addresses outstanding construction items along the corridor. This requires the additional lane of pavement to continue to be protected or limited in use.
Daytime operations will be limited to those areas currently under construction and not in use. Some traffic delays may occur during the day but kept to a minimum.
Nighttime operations will permit closure of lanes with one lane of traffic in each direction.
Please watch for message board alerts or call for any questions.
Construction began July 2021 with completion anticipated by the end of 2023.
