The General Relief program is designed to provide maintenance assistance which cannot be provided through other means. The program is financed through State and local funding.

Requirements

Assistance is provided for Unattached Minors only. These are individuals who would be eligible for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) but do not meet the relationship requirements.
