Exceptions are Ettrick Park Shelter #1 which has a maximum capacity of 50 people, Iron Bridge Park Shelters #4 and #5 which will accommodate up to 150 people each, and R. Garland Dodd at Point of Rocks Park Shelter #4 (this double-shelter rents at twice the normal rate), which is our largest shelter and will accommodate up to 300 people.
- "Reservation Calendars" are posted at each of the shelters indicating rentals for that day.
- Grills and trash receptacles are provided at each shelter.
- Park restrooms are available for use from mid-March through November.
- Most of our shelters also feature volleyball nets and horseshoe pits which are included with a reservation, though some do not. (Equipment must be provided by the renting group or individual.)
- Some shelters have electrical outlets though nearly all of our shelters do not have electricity. The Parks and Recreation Department does not guarantee electricity. Generators are permitted at our shelters.
- Special Event Permits may be needed to reserve. These are most commonly needed for bounce houses and caterers.
- Alcoholic beverages or illegal substances shall not be brought or consumed on park properties. Any person believed to be intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances shall be excluded from the property.
- User Responsibilities: A responsible person shall be at all functions held within park facilities. That person shall work cooperatively with park personnel to ensure proper care of property and enforcement of park regulations. Applicant accepts responsibility for any damages that might occur during the period of use. The county will not be held responsible for any loss, theft, or any injury to persons or property while using park facilities. Applicant agrees to ensure that all applicable federal, state, and local health and safety guidelines currently in effect are followed. Park amenities are not sanitized.
