About the Parks & Recreation Master Plan Update

  • The Parks and Recreation Master Plan update is a recommendation of the Comprehensive Plan and is updated every five years.
  • The Chesterfield Parks and Recreation Department, together with other county departments and our Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission, co-sponsored groups, foundations and other partners, have developed this updated plan.
  • The last Plan was adopted in 2002.
  • The Parks and Recreation Master Plan sets the framework to maintain and expand a high-quality park system meeting the needs of residents and visitors.
