Event Canceled

Due to forecasted unpredictable weather conditions, the second annual Open House and Movie Night featuring Top Gun: Maverick is canceled. The event will be rescheduled in the coming months.

Event Information

The Richmond Executive-Chesterfield County Airport invites the community to attend its second annual Open House and Movie Night on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 5:30-10 p.m. From aviation lovers to plane enthusiasts to those who want to come out for a fun, family movie night, this unique event provides something for everyone!

Beginning at sunset, Top Gun Maverick (PG-13) will be shown on a large movie screen with the airport’s runway and taxiway serving as the ultimate backdrop.

Prior to the movie, this free, family-friendly event will include aircraft and apparatus displays from the Chesterfield Fire and EMS, Police and Sheriff departments, Virginia Department of Aviation and Virginia State Police MedFlight 1. Local aviation organizations will also have displays and activities for those who attend.

Local food trucks will be on site selling their offerings. These include Kabamm Food Truck, Chili P’s, Cocina Calle, Phang City, Kona Ice and Mister Softee. The Chesterfield Police Activities League (CPAL) will offer popcorn and water for $1 and raffle a pair of Ray-Ban Aviator Classic sunglasses. All proceeds to benefit CPAL.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. No pets, outside food or drinks or glassware will be allowed.
