CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield Police have obtained warrants for and are seeking a suspect in relation to the robbery of the BP Gas Station at 9200 Midlothian Turnpike on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019.
Police said a male suspect entered the business, asked the clerk for change and then struck him in the head with a wrench. The suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk sustained minor injuries.
The suspect has been identified as Wyatt J. Renick, 30, of no permanent address. Detectives have obtained warrants for Renick for robbery and felonious assault.
Renick is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue-and-gray flannel shirt, brown boots and a blue hat during the robbery. He also had a black goatee and mustache. He may be driving a gold, 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix with Virginia license plate VRD-2020.
