CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police are investigating a robbery that occurred just outside of the Wawa located at 6001 Iron Bridge Road around 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 2. No one was injured during the incident.
Police said as a customer left the store, she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her purse. After a brief struggle the suspect ran away with the victim's items and an unknown amount of cash. No weapon was displayed.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with no facial hair. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and pants, black hat, and unlaced dark-colored work boots.
