CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 1800 block of Stone River Road yesterday.
At about 10:42 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, Chesterfield County police responded to a report that an adult female had been stabbed inside her home. Upon arrival police found the female deceased from an apparent stabbing. The victim has been identified as Mirian A. Diaz, 48, of the 1800 block of Stone River Road.
As a result of the police investigation into this incident, the victim’s husband, Leonidas Diaz, age 50, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder earlier this morning. He is being held in the Chesterfield County Jail pending a court hearing.
