The Chesterfield County Jail has implemented the following measures to minimize the risk of exposure and transmission of pandemic viruses:
- Stopped entry of all volunteers and facilitators until further notice.
- Taking baseline temperatures for all new inmate committals and contractors who enter the facility.
- Asking a baseline questionnaire to all new inmate committals and contractors before granting entry.
- Identified isolation areas within the jail for any new inmate committals who have a temperature of 100.4 or greater.
- Encouraging all employees to wear gloves when handling paperwork.
- Continuous disinfecting of all areas throughout the jail.
- Video visits can be done through the internet directly from your personal phone or laptop while at home.
