CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested a suspect in relation to an armed robbery that occurred at the Sheetz at 20 S. Providence Road at about 5:13 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13.
Police said the suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then went behind the counter and took cash. Two customers attempted to stop the suspect, but the suspect fled on foot toward a nearby Super 8 Motel.
On Aug. 13, detectives obtained warrants for Jimine G. Carter, 39, for robbery, abduction, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, wearing a mask in public and two counts of assault and battery. Carter, of the 8200 block of Midlothian Turnpike, was arrested on Aug. 13 and is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
