CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested three suspects in relation to a robbery and homicide that occurred in the 14900 block of Rowlett Road on Jan. 15, 2020.
At about 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, police responded to a report that an adult male had been shot during a robbery at a residence in the 14900 block of Rowlett Road. It was reported that two unknown suspects forced entry into the residence and demanded money. Upon receiving money, the suspects shot David W. Crostic, 51, and fled the scene. Crostic, who lived at the Rowlett Road residence, died at the hospital.
With assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, police arrested three suspects in relation to this homicide on Aug. 27. Dayomic J. Smith, 41, Kanavis C. Davis, 26, and Joshua M. Cousins, 55, are each charged with burglary with intent to commit abduction with a deadly weapon and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Smith, of the 2200 block of Troy Court in Richmond, and Cousins, of the 1000 block of Elm Shadow Drive in Richmond, are being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond. Davis, of the 2500 block of Dana Street in Richmond, is being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
