CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police continue to investigate a fatal crash that occurred near the intersection of Midlothian Turnpike and Old Otterdale Road at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
Police said a 2013 Ford F-150 was traveling east on Midlothian Turnpike and approaching the intersection with Old Otterdale Road when it went off the road to the right and struck several trees. The adult male driver of the truck and an adult female passenger were transported to an area hospital. The passenger, identified as Karen E. Martin, 49, of the 1900 block of Olde Still Circle in Powhatan, was pronounced dead at the hospital; the driver had non-life threatening injuries.
