CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police in conjunction with the Richmond City Police Department, the Henrico County Division of Police and the Virginia State Police completed a traffic enforcement operation on Chippenham Parkway on Feb. 25, 2021. This primary roadway that traverses Chesterfield, Richmond and Henrico is often the subject of complaints from community members about speeding and aggressive driving.
Chesterfield and Richmond officers stepped up enforcement efforts on Chippenham Parkway from Feb. 21-27; they were joined by Henrico and Virginia State Police on Feb. 25. During the week, officers stopped a total of 738 vehicles. Police issued 873 summonses for a variety of traffic-related offenses, including speeding, reckless driving and driving while suspended or revoked. Additionally, officers made five DUI arrests. As always, police encourage all motorists to buckle up and drive safely.
