[ARCHIVED] Pre-register at

Statewide COVID-19 Vaccine Pre-Registration System

The statewide COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration system is available at or by calling 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682). The Commonwealth’s centralized system allows individuals to easily pre-register for the free vaccine, confirm they are on the wait list and verify/update their pre-registration information, and learn more about Virginia’s vaccination program

The statewide call center, 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682), is open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is staffed by 750 live operators who can answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and assist with pre-registration. The call center has English- and Spanish-speaking agents, as well as a call-back service in more than 100 other languages. TTY service (dial 7-1-1) is available to assist those who are deaf or hard of hearing. If wait times are long, Virginians can choose to get a call back and avoid having to stay on hold.

Please note that the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) states it still may be several weeks until you will be contacted regarding scheduling a COVID-19 vaccination appointment. Currently, VDH anticipates contacting all pre-registered individuals in phases 1a and 1b by the end of April. Once pre-registrants in phases 1a and 1b are vaccinated, opportunities for phase 1c and the general public will become available.

Verify and Update Your Pre-Registration Information

VDH has added questions to the pre-registration form to better establish phase eligibility. Please visit or call 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682) to verify and update your pre-registration information. Verifying and updating your pre-registration record will not change or otherwise affect your initial pre-registration date.

By verifying your pre-registration, you:

  • Ensure that your appointment will not be delayed due to missing or inaccurate information.
  • Confirm the best method for VDH to contact you - email, text or phone call - to schedule your vaccination appointment.

Visit the VDH COVID-19 Vaccination Response webpage for more information on the COVID-19 vaccine in Virginia. Visit the VDH Chesterfield Health District webpage for Chesterfield Health District-specific information.

Need Help Pre-Registering or Verifying Your Pre-Registration?
