CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police have arrested and charged two Richmond Christian School employees with failing to report suspected abuse/neglect of a child.
On Aug. 13, police became aware of an allegation that a volleyball coach at Richmond Christian School was engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old student. On Aug. 16, police spoke with Head of School Clifton Williams and Derek Zbyszinski, the school's business manager, and determined the two men failed to make the appropriate mandated notifications about the incident.
Williams, 66, of the 15000 block of Manor Gate Court in Chesterfield, and Zbyszinski 46, of the 8900 block of Waterfowl Flyway in Chesterfield, were both arrested on August 20. Both were charged with failing to report suspected abuse/neglect of a child, a violation of Virginia Code § 63.2-1509. Both men were released on unsecured bonds.
