CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, Substance Abuse Free Environment (SAFE) and Chesterfield Emergency Response Team (CERT) will help community members safely dispose of expired and unneeded medications on Saturday, Oct. 23.
The police department will host the Medication Take-Back on Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wegmans at 12501 Stone Village Way. Chesterfield Police officers, Chesterfield Sheriff's deputies and volunteers will be on hand to collect unused or expired prescription, over-the-counter and veterinary medications. Residents should leave medications in their original containers. Needles, syringes and other "sharps" will not be accepted.
