CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police have arrested three suspects in relation to a homicide that occurred in the 15100 block of Timsberry Circle on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
At about 9:20 p.m. on May 12, police responded to multiple calls for service about gunshots being heard in the area of Timsberry Circle. Upon arrival, officers found Tyjuan A. Coleman, 20, inside of a vehicle; he had been shot multiple times. Coleman, of the 3600 block of Broadwater Road, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A short time later, police located a second shooting victim in the 15900 block of Broadwater Lane. This victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; he has since been released from the hospital.
On July 26, police arrested Zziwa Mukeere, 21, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Mukeere, of the 9600 block of Ladue Road in Chesterfield, was charged with second-degree murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in relation to the homicide. He is currently being held in the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
On July 29, two juvenile males, ages 15 and 17, were arrested in relation to the homicide. Both were charged with second-degree murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Both were apprehended with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Both are currently being held at the Chesterfield Juvenile Detention Home.
