CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested three suspects in relation to a homicide that occurred in the 4000 block of Chippendale Court on Monday, July 11, 2022.
At about 5:10 a.m. on Monday, July 11, police were called to Chippendale Court for a report that an adult male had been shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered Matthew J. Tommaso, 33, who had been shot. Officers attempted life-saving measures, but Tommaso, of the 4000 block of Chippendale Court, was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Aug. 17, Kali W. Bryant, 29, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in relation to the homicide. Bryant, of the 6200 block of Statute Street, was previously charged with robbery in relation to the incident.
On Aug. 31, Sherard L. Wright, 33, of the 2600 block of Guyer Street in High Point, N.C., was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in relation to the homicide. On Sept. 1, Natasha R. Winston, 47, of the 2600 block of Guyer Street in High Point, N.C., was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact in relation to the homicide.
Bryant and Wright are currently being held at Riverside Regional Jail. Winston was released on bond on Sept. 1.
