CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in 7900 block of Midlothian Turnpike just before 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022.
Police said the driver of a 2014 Kia Optima was traveling west on Midlothian Turnpike when they struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene scene. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the Kia Optima was identified. Police continue their investigation into this incident.
