Heads up, Chesterfield: Redistricting may have changed your Election Day polling place

Because of changes to Chesterfield’s congressional and state legislative district boundaries made by the Supreme Court of Virginia, as well as a magisterial redistricting plan approved by the Board of Supervisors, county residents may cast their ballot at a different polling place on Nov. 8 than they have in previous years.

Voters were sent notice, as required by Virginia law, about the changes in their polling places.

But with Election Day 2022 fast approaching, here’s a summary of the changes that could impact Chesterfield voters. (Before you head out to vote, you can also confirm where your polling place is located by visiting the State Board of Elections website.)

MAGISTERIAL DISTRICTS

* Part of the Skinquarter voting precinct, which was split between the Matoaca and Midlothian districts as a result of redistricting, has been incorporated into the Roseland precinct

The Skinquarter polling place is Mt. Hermon Baptist Church; the Roseland polling place is New Life United Methodist Church
