CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police continue to investigate a fatal crash that occurred in the 14000 block of Beach Road at about 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022.
Police said a Kia sedan was traveling west on Riverway Road when it ran a stop sign and struck a Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling east on Beach Road. Both of the Kia's occupants were transported to area hospitals. The passenger, identified as Sabrinna A. Pannell, 38, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The vehicle's driver was in critical condition. The investigation indicates that Pannell, of the 2000 block of Montbrook Lane in Richmond, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
