CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police have arrested two suspects in relation to a homicide that occurred in the 4800 block of Burnt Oak Drive on Thursday, February 2, 2023.
At about 12:49 a.m., police responded to a report that a person had been shot in the 4800 block of Burnt Oak Drive. Upon arrival, they located Jonathan O. Starks, 24, who had been shot. Starks, of the 4900 block of Burnt Oak Drive, was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Feb. 2, police arrested Keyon C. Eaglin, 21, of the 400 block of Creekwillow Drive in Midlothian, and Genesis L. Covington, 21, of the 14700 block of Inlet Court in Chesterfield, in relation to the homicide. Both Eaglin and Covington were charged with second-degree murder, and both are being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond. The investigation indicates that both Eaglin and Covington were known to Starks.
