meeting on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 6 p.m. in the County Public Meeting Room at the Chesterfield Administration Building, 10001 Ironbridge Road, Chesterfield, Virginia, will hold a public hearing where persons may appear and present their views concerning:
An ordinance to amend the code of the County of Chesterfield, 1997, as amended, by amending and reenacting sections 19.1-1, 19.1-14 & 19.1-15 of Zoning Ordinance. The amendment, among other things, would provide that zoning ordinance allow for reasonable modifications in accordance with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act, state and federal fair housing laws as applicable, allow granting of variance approval based upon findings it would alleviate a hardship by granting a reasonable modification to a property or improvements on behalf of a person with a disability, that such variance expire when person benefited is no longer in need of modification, and that in addition to other application provisions the director or board may require additional documentation to demonstrate the need for such modification.
A copy of the ordinance is on file in the County Administrator’s Office and the Clerk to the Board’s Office (Room 504) at the Lane B. Ramsey Administration Building, 9901 Lori Road, Chesterfield, Virginia, for public examination between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. of each regular business day.
