COUNTY, VA — Register today for the Revitalize Our Communities Committee’s free, half-day Empowering Neighborhoods Forum happening Saturday, March 2, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Thomas R. Fulghum Conference Center, 13900 Hull Street Road, Midlothian. The conference brings together neighborhood and community leaders from across Chesterfield County.
This year’s theme is “Good Neighbors
Make Great Neighborhoods,” with a focus on the four cornerstones of success.
Practical workshops and participating vendors will help attendees 1) find resources
2) determine roles 3) establish game plans and 4) communicate better. The Chesterfield
County Community Enhancement Department’s Pam Cooper, who leads the Keep
Chesterfield Beautiful initiative, will be the keynote speaker.
Companies and organizations that have service areas aligning with
the conference theme are encouraged to register to have a presence at the
event. Those interested in a display or information table are encouraged to
register as soon as possible.
Nominations for the annual Revitalize Our Communities Committee
Awards Program also are being sought. The awards recognize the accomplishments
of outstanding neighborhood organizations and individuals from across
Chesterfield County who work to enhance the quality of life in their communities.
