CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA — Join Virginia State University and Chesterfield County for a special musical event to kick off the 30th Black History Month Celebration Friday, Feb. 1, 7-9:30 p.m., at Virginia State University, featuring R&B and jazz by Jay Baxter “Live”! and hosted by comedian Antoine Scott.
The event is the kick off to a month’s worth of events and programs celebrating February as Black History Month. The musical event will take place at Gateway Dining and Event Center, 2894 Martin Luther King Drive, Virginia State University. Admission is free, but registration is required. Food will be available for purchase.
