CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred in the 13700 block of Beach Road at about 9:23 p.m. on Thursday, August 29.
Police said the driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado was driving south on Beach Road when he ran off the right side of the roadway, re-entered the roadway, and ran off the left side of the roadway before striking a tree. The driver, Roger Aaron Wilkerson, 31, of the 8200 block of Five Forks Road in Pamplin, Va., was pronounced deceased on scene.
At this point, the investigation indicates that both speed and lack of seat belt use are contributing factors in this crash. Police continue their investigation into this incident.
