Rental of the shelter includes the shelter, tables in the shelter, area immediately surrounding the shelter to include tables outside the shelter, grills, and horseshoe pits. The shelter does not have a volleyball area. The shelter does not have electricity or water.

Huguenot Park Restrictions

There is a noise restriction for this park that prevents us from allowing some types of loud events. This means that we cannot allow bands, DJ's or other loud amplified systems such as a PA system. Quieter devices and events are perfectly fine, such as a small radio or Bluetooth speaker. Rides, bounce-houses or other inflatables are not permitted at Huguenot Park. If you wish to have these items for your event, please contact us to can accommodate your request at another location.

Any person or group that resides or is located within Chesterfield County is a resident and will be billed for the resident fee. Any person or group that resides or is located in any locality other than Chesterfield County is not a resident and will be billed for the non-resident fee.

Refunds

Refunds will be granted until one week before the reservation date and must be requested in writing to Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation Department. No refunds will be granted after this time. There will be a $25 processing fee on all refunds. Refunds will not be made in the case of inclement weather as rain dates are available.

If you were forced to cancel your event because of inclement weather, please contact our main office on the next business day (Monday-Friday) at 804-748-1623 during regular business hours 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. so that we may assist you in rescheduling your event.

Shelter Use Guidelines

Reservations are available from mid-March through mid-November and must be made 7 days in advance. Payment in full is due at the time of reservation. Reservation Calendars are posted at each of the shelters indicating rentals for that day. Park restrooms are available for use from mid-March through November. Special Event Permits may be needed to reserve. These are most commonly needed for bounce houses and caterers. Alcoholic beverages or illegal substances shall not be brought or consumed on park properties. Any person believed to be intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances shall be excluded from the property.

A responsible person shall be at all functions held within park facilities. That person shall work cooperatively with park personnel to ensure proper care of property and enforcement of park regulations. Applicant accepts responsibility for any damages that might occur during the period of use. The county will not be held responsible for any loss, theft or any injury to persons or property while using park facilities. Applicant agrees to ensure that all applicable federal, state and local health and safety guidelines currently in effect are followed. Park amenities are not sanitized. Patrons are recommended to take preventative action when visiting the park system including self-monitoring, use of face coverings and practicing social distancing.
